Ben is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and holds three distinct postgraduate diplomas spanning Psychotherapy and Phenomenology, Education Mental Health Practice, and Adult Mental Health Practice. Driven by an interest in what makes therapy genuinely helpful, Ben is actively engaged in research and has published award-winning work in the European Journal of Psychotherapy and Counselling on the nature of therapy offered in the UK.
Drawing on a diverse background that spans adult NHS mental health services, community wellbeing initiatives, and private practice, Ben supports adults facing a wide variety of challenges. He frequently works with clients navigating bereavement and grief; also anxiety, depression, relationship and identity issues, neurodiversity, trauma and workplace stress. Understanding that taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, he provides a collaborative, safe and non-judgmental environment to help clients make sense of their experiences at their own pace.
Believing that there is no single answer to life’s challenges, Ben’s grounded and conversational style is built upon extensive multi-disciplinary training. He integrates many different approaches into his practice, often incorporating creative practices to tailor the therapy to each unique individual.
